MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 12, 1974
Meeting called to order by Mayor Johnson. Present: Mondor, Sommerfeldt, Groth, Johnson,
Heuer, Eckberg. Torgerson arrived 8:35 P.N.
Minutes of meetings held October 15th and 28th were approved on a motion by Mondor.
Seconded by Sommerfeldt. Carried.
A request for a variance in set back of 15 ft. from shore line of St. Croix River
by the St. Croix Yacht Club to allow certain improvements to the existing club house
was reviewed. Construction plans, sketches, survey, aerial phot9, were considered
in conjunction with City building and zoning ordinances. Sommerfeldt made motion to
grant a dimensional variance to allow a compatible use permit requested by Sunnyside
Yacht Club. Seconded by Mondor. Carried.
Mr. Arney, representing the St. Croix Mall Merchants Assn. to review commercial water
rates, requested permission to review rate schedule with City Engineer. Said request
was granted.
Bruce Lemke of Nason, Wehrman, Chapman & Associates, Inc. , representing Swager Bros.
requested a public hearing to review the concept plan of Swager Bros. townhouse
project. Mondor moved to set public hearing for above entitled matter for December
2, 1974 at 8:00 P.M. at the City Municipt34. Building. Seconded by Groth. Carried.
_ Mayor Johnson will review County disease tree reimbursement policy with County Forester.
Bob Conley will present a dog control proposal to the Council on November 18th.
Clerk was directed to obtain cost figures for water, sanitary sewer, street and curbs
for proposed street connecting Olene and Oldfield at 58th St.
made motion to issue a permit to haul slag from N.S.P. Allen S. King Plant
