all required inspection permits from the Oak Park Heights Building Official, Julie Hultman. All plumbing
installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code.
No plumbing work may be covered prior to inspection.
REQUIREMENT(S):
1. All plumbing shall be installed in accordance with Chapter 4714. All pipe, fittings, traps, fixtures,
materials, and devices shall be listed or labeled by a third -party listing agency and comply with the
applicable standards referenced in the code (see Sections 301.2 and 1701.1).
2. The horizontal drainage piping must be installed with a uniform slope of at least 1/4 inch per foot (see
Section 708.1). Where municipal sewer depth, structural features, or building arrangement preclude this
slope, a minimum slope of 1/8 inch per foot may be utilized for piping 4 inches and larger if approved by
the authority having jurisdiction.
3. All pot, scullery, food prep, and beverage service sinks must have a floor drain without a backwater valve
on the individual drain branch serving each sink prior to connecting to any other drain (see Section 704.3).
This plumbing plans do not show a tell -tale floor drain serving the three -compartment sink

pressure vacuum breaker; an ASSE 1056 spill -proof vacuum breaker; or an ASSE 1001 atmospheric
vacuum breaker with no shutoff valve downstream (see Table 603.2). Trap primers with integral backflow
prevention are permitted only when equipped with one of the above -listed backflow preventers.

603.2):
a. If connected to a sink faucet, the sink hot and cold water supplies must each have a pressure vacuum
breaker, a spill -resistant vacuum breaker, or a reduced pressure principle backflow preventer. Double
check valve assemblies (DCVA), double check valves with intermediate atmospheric vent (DCIAV),
and atmospheric vacuum breakers are not permissible.
b. If a stand-alone piece of equipment not located in a sink and not directly connected to a faucet, then an
ASSE 1015 DCVA is permissible. An ASSE 1012 DCIAV is permissible only if approved by the local
