AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING COMMERCIAL VENDING MACHINES,
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS, WASHINGTON COUNTY,
MINNESOTA, DOES ORDAIN:
1405.01 License Rea_uired.
No person, corporation, association, or company shall maintain, keep, offer, or
furnish for use of the business customers a coin - operated mechanical vending
machine for dispensing soft drinks or food articles, without first having procured and
obtained a license therefor, from the City of Oak Park Heights.
1405.02 Application.
Application for a license for maintaining and keeping any coin - operated vending
machine for dispensing soft drinks, candy, food, or any edible merchandise in the
City of Oak Park Heights shall be made to the City Clerk, accompanied by a license
fee in the amount established by Council resolution, from time to time, for each
vending machine.
1405.03 Issuance of License.
If, in the opinion of the City Clerk after an investigation, it is found that the applicant
is suitable for a license, the license shall be issued. The license thereafter may be
renewed automatically by the payment of the amount established by Council
resolution for the ensuing year, for each vending machine.
1405.04 Violations and Penaltv.
Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed
Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00) or by imprisonment not to exceed ninety (90)
days, or both, together with costs.
