At that time our comments pertained to g radin g of the swale immediatel west of the buildin and storm water runoff concerns from above/behind the retainin wall. These issues were discussed with the contractor, Mr. Dave Perr of Cobra Construction, via a telephone conversation that da Pursuant to our recent discussion, I have reviewed the retainin wall and slope west of the new Americinn Motel, as constructed, and have the followin core mments) r recommendations: 1. We need to see a final as-built g radin g plan to verif that the westerl swale was constructed per the ori g radin g plan, and whether or not our previous comment was incorporated. It is difficult to determine from visual inspection if this area will drain properl 2. The issue of how storm water runoff from above/behind the wall was never addressed, to our knowled The ori g radin g plan showed 3:1 slopes above the retainin wall. From visual inspection it appears these slopes ma be steeper than that, an as-built g radin g plan would provide information for verification. If these slopes are, in fact, g reater than 3 :1, the retainin wall(s) should be constructed hi and filled in behind. Also, it appears a retainin wall runnin the entire len of the buildin would be better (both for erosion prevention as well as aesthetics) than the two walls currentl constructed.
