There are two dead globe arborvitae in the planting at the north end of the parking lot by both St.. These should be replaced. 2. There are 5 -6 dead years along the foundation planting in the front of the building. These should be replaced. The watering in this location should be checked. Several ether yews are turning yellow which could mean saturated soil conditions which the yews do net tolerate well. 3. Several of the river birch planted on the south end of the west planting on the slope behind Americinn have a lot of diebacl. These should be pruned of dead wood in fall or winter. Watering in this area should also be checked to be sure its adequate. Trees should be watered individually, not by sprinkler. 4. The slope behind Americlnn is very weedy; however, there its bluegrass g rowing underneath the barnyard grass and other weedy species. I recommend that the weeds and grasses on the slope be cut this fall at a height of inches and the cut vegetation removed from the slope. This should alloy the bluegrass to start growing next spring and summer at which time the slope should be cut regUarly to maintain about a 3 inch height. The weeds should be cut carefully on this slope since there are trees and shrubs planted there already, and some of the Amur maple shrubs are hidden in the weeds. 5. Some of the trees on site are wilting (particularly the cabs in front of the building). The trees should be watered individually by a hose at the ground lire this fall and every two weeks next summer, or they may die. The east most hackberry on the south end of the parking lot has no leaves and may not leaf out next spring. 6. The euonyrnus shrubs planted on the ends- of the landscape bed at the south end of the building are dying. These should be removed and replaced with dwarf bush honeysuckle which will do better in that location. The soil moisture and drainage in all planting beds should be checked to sale sure it is neither too dry or wet for plant growth in areas where plants are not doing well.
