HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-08-20 Weekly Notes ReferenceAdditionally, enclosed you will fmd an Addendum to the City's Agreement with Onyx waste
services that clarifies how construction materials shall be bandied. In effect, the policy does not
change from what has actually been occurring, but the process has never been outlined and formally
agreed upon.
4. MET COUNCIL - 2005 Municipal Wastewater Charges
The MET Council has adopted a revision on how the Citys annual sewer rates will be charged, we
will now be billion on our percentage of total use of 94.57 billion gallons of use between 71/03 and
6/20/04 - the most recent firm use. This is in contrast to estimating a year-end total flow number. In
theory this should better identify actual use. Staff just received this information yesterday and will
monitor how this process ultimately plays out and its potential impact on our Sewer rates.
5. Rodne Bahr - House Movers - Environmental, Concerns 15431 58 Street
The City Staff had met on-site with the developer and adjacent property owners last Friday evening
where the potential oil dumping areas were discussed and identified. The City has made the
Developer perform a Phase II environmental assessment of three areas. The results have come back
negative. Accordingly the City will authorize them to continue in their house moving project, subject
to the various conditions as outlined in our letters - as attached.
Other Items:
Tom 0. and 1 met with Alien Eisinger of Traffic Control Corp to discuss the Signal Controls at Neal
and 58 Street. We will be looking into some relamping at this intersection - moving to the LED
format. The County and Xcel may have some funding and/or rebates to pay for a large portion of
these costs.
Washington County Board Agenda - August 24 2004
Valley Branch Watershed District is seeking District Managers, on must live in the Watershed
District to serve. This Watershed barely skirts the City in our extreme southwest comer, I could not
readily track down a map, but I do not believe that we have any residential properties in this
watershed.
If you have a copy of the City Ordinances, please bring them in so we may insert the 406 Wetland
Ordinance.
