At-a-Glance - Workflow Designing and Publishing a Workflow Launch Workflow - Double-Click the Workflow Designer Icon. Create A New Workflow - Click on the icon to create a new workflow. Name the Workflow ? replace the defaults in the Properties Pane with a custom name and description of your workflow. Add an Activity - add an activity from the Toolbox to your workflow by dragging and drop- ping it into the Designer Pane. Wait Conditions? Wait Conditions must be satisfied before an entry will proceed to the next activity in the workflow, and should be applied when a reason exists. Designer Pane Configure - Click on the activity in the designer pane to configure it. User Note: icon until they are Most activities will display this properly configured. Publish the Workflow Definition - make sure that the workflow that you want to publish is visible in the workflow designer pane. If your workflow is published successfully you will be prompted to create a starting rule. On the select Starting Events Screen 1. Enter a name along with a description of the starting rule. 2. Select one or more starting events 3. Under Starting Conditions, configure one or more conditions. Create as many as you need. Be sure to: Specify a connection profile, and filter for which template fields and/or tags are displayed in the condition editor) 4.PublishFinish When finished, click to create your starting rule. Then click and the workflow should be active within 30 seconds. Common Troubleshooting Questions Is the Workflow Server/Subscriber running? Have the Workflow Server/Subscriber been properly configured? Have you checked the activities, conditions, and starting rules displayed in the Workflow Subscriber Tray? Is your Workflow 8 License valid and in the right location? Do you have access rights and permissions to perform the actions in question? Have you review the Workflow error report? Workflow fails to Start Review the previous questions. If the above questions are correct. Try assessing the following ? 1. Has the Workflow been published? And assigned a starting rule? 2. Has 30 seconds passed since the starting rule was published? 3. Is the starting rule enabled for your workflow? Workflow Fails to Finish? Search for the workflow, and double- click the workflow instance in the Search Results Pane.
