HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-301-02 Z • CITY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 2007 -301- 02 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 301 OF THE CITY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS MUNCIPAL CODE SPECIFICALLY RELATED TO ADOPTING THE AMENDED 2007 MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE AND ITS PROVISIONS AS SET FORTH IN SECTION 301.01 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. Amendment. That Chapter 301 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Oak Park Heights is amended to add the following changes to mandatory enforcement provisions and optional enforcement provisions adopted: 301.01. A. Mandatory Enforcement Provisions. The following chapters of Minnesota Rules shall be enforced and administered without change by the City as mandatory provisions of the Minnesota State Building Code: • 1. Chapter 1300, Administration of the Minnesota State Building Code; 2. Chapter 1301, Building Official Certification; 3. Chapter 1302, State Building Construction Approvals; 4. Chapter 1303, Minnesota Provisions; 5. Chapter 1305, Adoption of the 2006 International Building Code; 6. Chapter 1307, Elevators, and Related Devices; 7. Chapter 1309, Adoption of the 2006 International Residential Code; 8. Chapter 1311, Guidelines for the Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings; 9. Chapter 1315, Adoption of the 2005 National Electric Code (Administered by the MN -DOLI Board of Electricity); 10. Chapter 1325, Solar Energy Systems; 11. Chapter 1330, Fallout Shelters; 12. Chapter 1335, Flood Proofing Regulations; 13. Chapter 1341, Minnesota Accessibility Code; 14. Chapter 1346, Adoption of the Minnesota State Mechanical Code 15. Chapter 1350, Manufactured Homes; 16. Chapter 1360, Prefabricated Structures; 17. Chapter 1361, Industrialized /Modular Buildings; 18. Chapter 1370, Storm Shelters (Manufactured Home Parks); 19. Chapter 4715, Minnesota Plumbing Code; and 20. Chapters 7670, 7672, 7674, 7676 and 7678, Minnesota Energy Code. • 21. Chapter 7511, Minnesota State Fire Code w • B. Optional Enforcement of Provisions Adopted. The following chapters of Minnesota Rules, representing optional provisions of the Minnesota State Building Code, are hereby adopted and incorporated by the City without change and shall be enforced and administered by the City as a part of the Building Code for the City: 1. Chapter 1306, Special Fire Protection Systems, option Subpart 2 and 1306.0030(E), option 1; 2. Chapter 1335, sections .0600 through .1200, Flood Proofing Regulations; and 3. 2006 International Building Code Appendix J (Grading). Section 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
