Followin are our comments and/or recommendations. ck~^r-), 1. The parking stall dimensions and pavement markings )n the northwest lot are slightly off from the line work for the parkin lot. 2. Place a concrete drivewa apron at the 58 1h Street entrance to the Care Center. 3. Concrete pedestrian ramps with truncated domes shall beplaced on the pathway/dri ck.~~rD , Show the curb cuts for the pedestrian ramps at the drivewa entrance. Z. |t appears that the cu1-de-sacisa drop off. If so, a curb cut should be shown atthis location. 3. Show percent g rades with the draina arrows. St. Pam St. Clou Rochester Milwaukee Chicago City of Dak Park Heigh Boutwells Care Center Page 2 May 29, 2007 4. The pad for the generator has a slope which appears to be greater than 5 %. Does the pad need to be flatter? 5. There is a low point on the southwest side of the generator pad. If the drain at the low point is plugged where is the emergency overflow? Is the generator above the EOF? 6, Detailed design drawings and calculations for the retaining walls signed by an engineer licensed in Minnesota shall be submitted to the City for review and approval prior to construction. hAAt r A 0 1 1. CBMH 108 is located adjacent to a curb cut and a rainwater garden. Is the direct drainage to CBMH 108 entering the structure or the rainwater garden? How much water is actually entering the rainwater garden? Would it be more effective to place CBMH 108 in the rainwater garden? In addition the directional labels on this structure's inverts appear to be incorrect. A pipe to the west is not shown (possible drain tile) and a deeper invert to the NE should be labeled. 2. The storm sewer under the building shall meet all state plumbing codes. 3. CB 105 is not drawn in the curb line. In addition, what is the invert elevation that the pipe from CB 105 will connect with EXCBMH 104? 4. Label the proposed storm sewer pipes with slopes and lengths. 5. Check for possible pipe conflicts with the water main and storm sewer between CBMH 1 and unlabeled CBMH and between CBMH 108 and unlabeled CBMH. Insulate at the water main /storm sewer crossings. 6. Submit Rational sheet for storm sewer sizing. General C omments 1 . The following items still need to be submitted for review: a. Details sheets. b. Typical section for parking lots, roadways, sidewalks. c. Copy of the Approval letter from the Middle St. Croix watershed, d. Copy of any comments from the Browns Creek watershed District.
