A. Resolution Approving the 2008 Budget
Motion to approve budget Resolution. Roll call vote taken. Carried 4-1,
Mc Comber opposed.
Motion to leave $5,032 in parks budget but not grant it to Lucy Winton Bell
Athletic Fields. Motion failed per lack of a second.
Motion to grant $5,032 for Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Fields in 2008 and to
review the grant again during 2009 budget discussions. Carried 4-1,
Mc Comber opposed.
B. Resolution Approving the 2008 Tax Levy
Motion to approve Resolution. Roll call vote taken. Carried 5-0.
VI. Old Business
A. Adoption of Local Lodging Tax — Ordinance
Motion to approve Ordinance. Carried 4-1, Doerr opposed.
Motion to direct staff to see if Stillwater City Council would entertain a joint
powers agreement similar to cable commission to oversee the administration of
this tax. Carried 5-0.
VII. New Business
A. Receive Donation to Police Department
Motion to adopt a Resolution to accept the donation, have staff send a thank you
to the Crains, and to direct that the funds be used to purchase bicycles for
NNOIPIP. Carried 5-0.
WCL Associates Inc., Planned Unit Development, Concept and General; Conditional
Use Permit; Subdivision; Site Plan and Design Review; and Rezoning of the Subject
Property from 0, Open Space District to B-2, General Business District to Construct a
Retail Development Including Best Buy
Motion to continue this agenda item to the second meeting in February 2009.
Carried 5-0.
C. Additional Capital Projects for 2008
Motion to place this item on the Parks Commission agenda for their
recommendation. Carried 5-0.
D. Consider Documents for the St. Croix Transit Feasibility Study
Motion to send a letter that has been reviewed by the City Attorney to the
department thanking them for the opportunity to review the study and stating
that since the document is incomplete the City is not able to provide a comment at
this time and request that they come back when they have money in the budget.
Carried 5-0.
