Dear Mr. Rutkowski:
The Cit of Oak Park Hei is in receipt of y our application received on October 9,
2006 seekin consideration b the Cit for a si variance to install a total of three
buildin si one on each elevation of the leased space at the Oak Park Commons.
With this letter, we are notif y ou that y our application will be deemed complete with
receipt of the followin items b October 25, 2006. If the materials are not submitted b
that date, the application will be deemed incomplete and will be rejected b the Cit
1. Mailin labels for properties within 500 feet that surround the sub site. The
labels ma be obtained from Washin Count as outlined in the application
packet.
2. The second pa of the application was not received b the Cit It should be
submitted with si of representatives from Lawrence Si as well as a
representative of Oak Park Commons.
Staff reviewed the application materials at a meetin on October 18, 2006. There are
concerns with the y ellow bandin on the awnin and the lar y ellow back of
the two wall si Upon review of the Si Ordinance and the Desi Guidelines,
these features would not be allowed. The Desi Guidelines would also not allow an
t of neon bandin on the buildin
We would invite y our and representatives of Buffalo Wild Win to a staff meetin on
October 25, 2006 at 10:00 AM to discuss these issues and address an q uestions y ou
ma have.

If all of the application materials are submitted as requested, the Planning Commission
would consider the application at their meeting scheduled for November 9, 2000 at 7:00
PM in the city Half Council chambers.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 15.99, Subd. 3(f), the city of oak Park Heights is
herewith extending the period of time for agency /city review of the application for an
additional 00 day period (for a total of 120 days from the date of application) inasmuch
as the City has determined that additional research and study by the City staff relative to
the complexity of the project as proposed will be required. Please contact me with any
questions you may have.
