She has identified approximately 171 diameter inches of trees, which are in or near the "construction area and have} been encroached upon with grade elevation and soil compaction. As a result of p these construction impacts, she anticipates that the trees in this 'area will decline and die 'w ithin the next -few years, - Alan Kretman .of .ProTerra resign has' requested that one trees that have actual b y Y • , removed be considered in the tree repl•acement'requ rement: this time. In response to'his request,,.Arborist Widin' consulted with staff and has re- calculated the , tree "re lacement required from Century Power prior to, the issua of a certificate of Occuv angy,, Presently, she has reduced the tree loss calculation by 1.71 diameter inches for the trees which have not yet died and been removed. These trees will be r.onitvred for the next two years and the tree replacement requirement recalculated should the trees die or severely ecline rester than y (g 4+0% canopy loss) within that time.. A copy of t ,he tree drawing for this area is included with this .fetter. At this time, the City will require tree replacement for the calculated, 80 diameter inches of trees that have actually been removed as part of this project. Accordingly, please provide the - Ci with a planting plan for the site or cash in lieu' of -tree planting.
