Subject: Century Power - Landscaping /Tree Removal
Kris -
I have reviewed the plans for the proposed expansion of the
Century Power complex on Memorial Drive and have the following
comments:
1. on Plans C 1.1 and C 2 it appears that the expansion will
penetrate the tree line on the west side of the property. A tree
inventory for the site and a tree protection plan, listing trees
(species and sizes) to be removed and retained, will be required.
From this the amount of required tree replacement can be calculated.
2. The Landscape Plan (L 1) does not contain identification for trees
and shrubs on the plan (except for linden and Black Hills spruce).
This should be added.
Until plants are identified in location, I can't comment on the plan.
3. Glossy black chokeberry and white snowberry sucker profusely and
may not be appropriate for landscape plantings at the building
entrance. otherwise, the plant materials are acceptable.
