The tree replacement re for this project b the Cit of OPH tree
protection ordinance 1307 consists of calculations which include 11si g nificant live
trees lost or reasonabl antic' ' ated to be lost" as a result of construction.
IP
There are approximatel 171 diameter inches of trees which are in or near
the construction area acid have been encroached upon with g rade elevation and
soil compaction. I anticipate that these trees will decline and die in the next few
y ears as a result of construction impacts. In a recent conversation with Mr. Alan
Kretman, ProTerra Desi he re that onl trees which have actuall been
removed be considered in the tree replacement re at this time. After
consultation with Cit staff, I have re-calculated the tree replacement which is
re from Centur Power prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occ an I
have, for, now, subtracted from the tree losses 171 diameter inches of trees which
have not y et died and been removed . These trees will be monitored for the next
two y ears and the tree replacement re will be re-calculated should these
trees die or decline severel ( than 40% canop loss) within that time.
At this point, the Cit will onl re tree replacement for the diameter
inches of trees which have actuall been removed as part of this pro This
amount, after ordinance calculations, e 80 replacement diameter inches.
Please provide a plantin plan for the site or cash 'in lieu of tree plantin2. which
would be $50. per diameter replacement inch, or $4 ,000 the 8
. Subtractin 0
replacement diameter inches for trees which have been removed from the last
calculation of 261 replacement diameter inches, the remainin trees represent 181
replacement diameter inches.
The Cit re per the tree protection ordinance, that a performance
securit consistin of a cash amount e to 150% of the cost to replace the
remamIn trees, be paid to the Cit This amount would e $1.3,575. ($9,050. x
1.5) and would be used to replace an trees which die or have g reater than 40%
canop loss between now and September of 2005. After September 2005,
whatever funds remain *in the tree replacement account for this project would be
returned to Centur Power.

Judy - FYI
I spoke with Alan Kretman yesterday regarding the landscape plan which
was part of the set of Century Power plans dated 1116102. The landscape
plan I have does not match the grading and erosion control revisions of
the same date. I faxed him both items and he is supposed to drop off a
correct plan for me by tonight. Assuming I receive it, I should be able to
finish the Century Power memo tomorrow afternoon and send it out to all
parties concerned by Monday.
