CITY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS
40 WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ALLOWING DNR CONSTRUCTION, TO AMEND THEIR BID FOR
ALTERNATE #2 TO ACCOUNT FOR A CLERICAL ERROR RELATIVE TO THE
AUTUMN HILLS PARK SHELTER BIDS
WHEREAS, the City Administrator for the City of Oak Park Heights prepared and
published its specifications for the Autumn Hills Park Shelter which were forwarded to the public,
published and provided to contractors in the manner provided by law; and,
WHEREAS, the City received bids in response to the specifications for the
construction of the park shelter in the Autumn Hills park on Friday, June 30 2006; and,
WHEREAS, among the bidders presenting proposals and construction bids for the
facilities was DNR Construction; and,
WHEREAS, DNR Construction presented a bid for the base bid of $338,500; and,
WHEREAS, on July 13 2006, DNR Construction has now notified the City that
they had made a clerical error internally in responding to the bid specifications and, finding that the
error was obvious, have requested permission to correct their bid relative to the Autumn Hills Park
Shelter project; specifically the work and bid elements as addressed in the Alternate #2 price of
$33,900.00 is included in the amount as stated in Alternate #1 of $52,100.00, thus the revised
Alternate #2 bid price is $0.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Oak Park Heights has not yet awarded any contract and is
willing to allow DNR Construction to correct their bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of
Oak Park Heights that DNR Construction is hereby allowed to correct their Alternate #2 bid to
$0.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City finds no prejudice to other bidders
by allowing for this correction.
