At the site desi review meetin on 12/6, 1 gave them a copy u/ the /Crmumuumpe plan and species comments mo serve as an example. 2 The landscape plan is very simple and will not ba particularl interesting or attractive. For example, it would be more attractive to group the plants and mix evergreen and deciduous, instead uf simple lining everything out |nrows. The screening function would still be accomplished and the landscaping would do more to enhance the property. This would be difficult in areas where there is 15 feet or less of planting space; however, evergreens could be planted in groups of3'5in the west and east corners of the plan where there is more room. | would also suggest adding some disease-resistant flowering crabapples for some variety, and also mixing several evergreen species to reduce problems with diseases and insects. No shrubs will be required outside planting beds next to the building, since this would greatly increase landscape maintenance. 3. Several of the trees on the SVV side of the property are being planted within the drainage easement. The property owner should bo aware that, according to OPH City Code, any plants which are planted in a dmsineQa or utility easement will need tobe removed and/or replaced bythe property owner in the event that the City needs todo any work within the easement.
