Mr. David Thorager

Dear Mr. Thorager;
I received your note and am sorry to see that you are obviously very displeased. I sent
you a copy of a uniform citation book to show you that police officers can not "quote"
the amount of fines. I realize that it may be an incovenience, but there should have been
a fine schedule along with the citation. I believe that the fine schedule must also have
been "blown off' your vehicle. With the fine schedule gone you would then have to
contact Washington County Court Admin to determine what the set fine is.
This situation did not develope due to our "lazyness" as you indicate in your letter. I
remember you calling for a copy of the citation and I had one personally delivered to
your address the same day you requested it. Nobody is pleased to receive a citation but I
can place no blame for this situation on our police deparment not performing its duties.
If I, or any member of the Oak Park heights Police Department may be of service to you
in any way in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Most Sincerely,
Lindy Swanson
Chief of Police
