Erosion controls shall be installed prior to the commencement of operations and be maintained throughout the construction period until turf is established. Additional erosion controls may be required as determined by the LSCVWD Engineer or Inspector during construction. 2. Disturbed areas should be seeded and mulched within 14 days of final grading. 3. Riprap sizing calculations should be submitted that show the riprap is large enough to handle discharges up to the 100 -year critical storm event. 4. The detail of the proposed concrete flumes shall be revised to show the geotextile filter material keyed into the ground. The riprap should not be grouted. 5. A maintenance agreement, which addresses pond maintenance, sweeping, sediment removal and disposal, etc., shall be submitted. 0. The 100 -year flood elevation for the stormwater pond on the site is Elevation 940.3 feet. S. The applicant should attempt to include as many of the following as possible into the site design and constr uctioxl: a. Provide only the minimum number of parking stalls. b. Store plowed snow in pervious areas. c. Require the contractor to loosen soils to a depth of 24 inches to a maximum compaction of 85% standard proctor density prior to planting and add compost to the soil during the loosening efforts. d. Require the contractor to till the upper 10 inches of soil prior to planting. e. Reduce the length of parking stalls from 20 feel to 18 feet (against city ordinance). f. Propose 30% of the parking stalls for compact vehicles and making those stalls smaller. g. Use infiltration islands at the parking lot (depressing the island between the building instead of raising it) . h. Direct rooftop runoff to pervious areas. i. Plant trees that will canopy over the impervious surfaces. j. Plant deep- rooted trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and grasses. k. Grade the parking lots to shoot flew to vegetative filter strips. 14. The pond outlet shall be modified to maintain the existing 2 -, 10 -, and loo -year peak discharges leaving the site. This can be done by changing the outlet to a 15 -inch diameter pipe with a 4 -inch diameter orifice at the bottom of a plate that is 0.9 feet high.
