• The request to install a highway sign (billboard) for Burger King and Rainbow on
the south side of Highway 36 before the Highway 5 exit ramps was denied.
The Planning Commission recommended approval of the request for replacing the Burger
King logo signs on the north and west sides of the building, and the reader board on the
east side with 8 foot by 8 foot (64 square feet) Burger King logo signs. The request was
contingent on the following
1 . The Planning Commission should comment and the City Council determine the
acceptability of the installed landscaping that does not adhere to the approved
landscape plan.
2. The applicant must finish installing the landscaping as approved in the landscape
plan and must care for the plants, as described in Exhibit C of the April 7, 1999
planning report.
3. The City Council determine the acceptability of the revised site design regarding
menu boards and an island in the drive aisle.
