Dear Mr. Dolphin:
I am writin to y ou to inform y ou that several items are still outstandin re y our
Bur Kin development in Oak Park Hei As a result please be advised that y ou
are in violation of the terms of the conditional use permit issued for y our business.

cit si ordinance. A cop of the ordinance section is included with this letter for y our
review. The existin si must be removed and replaced with si that fits inside
the buildin fa as depicted in y our application materials for the alterations to the

letter. The Plannin Commission and Cit Council approval for the si
modifications were based on the renderin y ou had submitted.
When detailed plans were provided to the buildin official as part of the permit
application process, y ou and/or y our contractor were notified that the proposed si
would not be permissible under the zonin ordinance and a permit was not issued to
install these si The si were nonetheless installed without a permit.
Landscapin As the attached memo from the Cit Arborist outlines, attention must be
g iven to the trees located on the site immediatel
Unless these issues are immediatel corrected, it will be staff's recommendation to the
Cit Council at their meetin of 11123/99 to cancel the conditional use permit under
which y our business is permitted to operate. If the Cit Council deems it appropriate to
follow staff's recommendation, all operations associated with y our business at this
location must immediatel cease and desist.

5) Projecting signs.
6) Roof Signs are permitted provided they do not extend beyond the measures
height of the building as defined by Section 401.02.B. of this Ordinance.
7) Any sign which contains or consists of banners, pennants, ribbons,
streamers, string of light bulbs, spinners or similar devices (Except in case
of Section 401.15.G.5.g).
8) Portable signs (except in case of Section 401.15.G.5.g.).
g) Signs and /or posters which are tacked onto trees, fences, utility poles or
other such permanent supports, except safety signs and signs found on
fences (inside) of baseball parks.
10) Signs painted directly on building walls (wall graphics).
11) Signs which advertise an activity, business, product or service no longer
produced or conducted on the premises upon which the sign is located.
Where the owner or lessor of the premises is seeking a new tenant, such
signs may remain in place for not more than thirty (30) days from the date of
vacancy.
12) Temporary window signs used for the purpose of advertising goods and /or
services to the extent not permitted in 40 1.15.G.6.a.10).

advertise non - profit corporations). Said signs shall be limited to the sizes
and restrictions imposed within the zoning district in which the use is located
and the other applicable provisions of this Ordinance.
2) Prohibited Signs.
3) Other Signs. All other signs not prohibited that do not conform to the
provisions of this Ordinance.

I inspected the landscaping at Burger King again today and have the followin¢
recommendations: Im
I. the twine is still tied to the base of the trees and large shrubs - this needs
to be removed
.. yellow flagging and labels are attached to the trunks of several of the
trees - these should be removed to prevent girdling the trees
