I did, however, want to confirm our telephone conversation of 8 -24 -98 in which you indicated to me that there are no safety issues regarding the ropes course located around the pond on the South side of the senior high school property. I want there to be no misunderstanding of the Oak Park Police's position should a safety problem arise in the future. Complex C Stillwater, MN 55082 Dear Mr. Edison: I received your letter dated November 25, 1998, today and felt compelled to respond. I do recall having a telephone conversation with you this past August. My recollection of the conversation is that I made a statement to you that I did not have a concern as far as safety issues and the Stillwater Area High School Ropes Course any greater than areas in the community if the course is used as designed. I believe 1 gave an example of persons trespassing on the roof of the St. Croix Mall and the obvious dangers to that as comparable to someone trespassing and improperly using the school facility. I also believe that I advised you that I believed you were trying to put words in my mouth and ended our conversation. incerely, indy S anson Chief of Police cc; Mark Vierling
