LINDY SWANSON
CHIEF OF POLICE
Quite some time ago you came to my office and we spoke about your need for a kennel
license due to the fact that you owned more than two adult dogs. I believe during
our conversation you stated that you believed that you may be selling one or more of
the and asked if we could hold off on the kennel license requirement. I do remember
agreeing to hold off on the permit until you knew what you were going to do with the dogs
and I advised you if I received any complaints you would have to comply and get a kennel
permit. This morning I received a complaint from city staff in regards to you having
purchased four dog licenses and when you were questioned about the need for a kennel
license you apparently responded that I had told you that you did not need one.
Due to the fact that I have received a complaint from staff, and also due to the fact
that you have apparently chosen to keep all of your adult dogs, please be advised by
this letter that you will need to come to the Oak Park Heights City Hall and apply for
a kennel permit.
I would appreciate your taking care of this matter at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Lindy Swanson
Chief of Police
