Kathy Widin Arborist City of Oak Park Heights 5/31/2006 Page 1 of 1 have reviewed the revised (new) landscape plan (dated 5/06) for the Fox Hollow project and visited the site, and have the following comments: 1. The plan looks good and is an improvement over the previous plan in terms of species and placement and will complement the site. 2. The plant species chosen are all attractive, hardy species and should do well on that site. 3. There are fewer trees being planted, but, upon initial inspection of the trees which were installed, some of the deciduous trees are a bit larger than the previous trees specified. 4. More evergreens were added for screening in front (north) and to west and south sides of the main building. Evergreens are somewhat smaller than originally specified but still satisfy the zoning requirements. 5. 1 have re-calculated the tree replacement requirement and, because of fewer trees being planted and smaller evergreens, there is an additional replacement payment (cash in lieu of tree planting) of $850.. The landscape installation costs should be less than the $33,000. originally estimated, since there are fewer trees and shrubs in the new plan and the evergreens are somewhat smaller than originally specified. 6. Once the entire landscape has been installed, I will inspect the site for compliance with the landscape plan and the Tree & Shrub Planting Standards for the City of Oak Park Heights.
