Jim, I agree with your comments. I also want to add that if they want to do
this storage along a building proper fire protection needs to be installed.

Subject: CUP for outside storage
Follow up from Site Plan Review meeting on Feb. 23, 2000.
Glenbrook Lumber is located in the Industrial Zone and section 401.32.E
(Conditional Uses)of our Zoning Ordinance allows outside storage with a
conditional use permit providing the area is fenced and screened from view
of neighboring residential uses.
With this requirement I do not believe bollards should be permitted. I
believe a solid fence providing screening from the public should be
constructed in compliance with section 401.15.E of our City Zoning
Ordinance.
With this the City should be provided with a site plan of the fence
detailing:
1) Location
2) Gates
3) Height (To provide complete screening of their stored products we
need to
be concerned about the height of the fence.)
4) Type of construction
5) Location of trash enclosure with access gate
6) Parking stalls
In addition we need to address the issue of an easement for access to the
property.
