Julie Bunn • -•• Memo TO: City Council Members FROIV: Eric JOnsgri, City Administrator The City has not received any new applications. The Feb 14th Planning Commission will be again discussing possible amendments to Oakgreen Village. SUPERAMERICA has been reminded that their sites are not in compliance, and must remove the kiosks that hold trade/real-estate magazines. The City has provided SPRINT with its updated month lease fee, the rate is now$2,187 per month and is 5 Percent over last year and which is the minimum amount. If inflation was above 5% then that increase would have been required. To date the City has received over $85,000 in lease revenues from This agreement. On Thursday I had a brief conversation with Erick Dove of the D. Hecker organization requesting an update on their new dealership project. At this time they have indicated that are stilt reviewing options to establish a new location but MAY instead be consolidating operations at the Ford site, yet much is undetermined. As always, approved projects have 1 year from their date of approval to proceed, accordingly they have several months to actually move forward with their plans. I have asked Mr. Dove to prepare a short letter advising the City of their official position. One of the discussions at the recent Citizen Advisory Meeting, at the Council's directive as an update from Steve Mattson to the Committee about the current financial markets for bonding/borrowing. Mr. Mattson gave a similar rundown to the Committee as the Council did generally receive. I have enclosed the spreadsheets that demonstrate fiscal impacts for a $2, $4 and $6.5 Million bond issuance. The next meeting is Feb 19th - 4pm. Judy Hoist has prepared a short memo on the refinancing/payoff of the GO Improvement Bonds as issued in 1998. At this time the plan is to pay these bonds off in April/May. A resolution is being prepared for the Feb 26th meeting. O The City received a thank you letter for its joining ihe Minnesota Association of Small Cities for 2008 Page 1 of b4
