HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-09-12 Applicant Ltr to OPHSeptember 12, 1999 Dear Mr. Melana: RE: Karmann Jacks, Inc. Retail space Mr. Thomas M. Melana, City Administrator 1 am writing to request permission to start some of the business operations for Karmann Jacks prior to having all of our site improvements completed. Until recently, understood that we were able to occupy the site 14621 60th St n. after we were approved at the city counsel meeting on the 24th of August. It was not stated in the planning report that 1 received from Scott Richards or in the B-2 report, that all improvements must to the property in order for us toto occupy the site. There was no way verbally and or written that we were informed of this. Plans were already made to begin operations. If we can't begin, limited operations immediately, my business will be seriously and adversely effected. It is my opinion that if we are able to start some operations immediately, the effects it will have on our cash flow will allow us to make the site look better sooner and to a higher degree of quality. It is our intention to improve the aesthetic quality of the site beyond city requirements to project a professional image to the public. The following is a list of operations that! would like to begin immediately: • Outdoor auto sales. • Automobile repairs. Restricted to the southeast corner of the building where a "shop" is already set up. • Establish a temporary office within the building. • Move in tools and parts for limited operations. The following is a list of operations to begin when the appropriate improvements of specific areas; is complete: • Retail sales in showroom. Following completion of the remaining site improvements, we will offer our full scope services. • Page 2 September 13, 1999 The attachment includes a detailed list of site improvements together with anticipated completion dates. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss allowing karmann jacks to commence immediate limited operations. Sincerely Jack lbarra Karmann Jacks INC. President
