Such discharge is not allowed under the Washington County Individual Sewage Treatment System Ordinance Section. 3.4 and is considered an imminent public health threat. This section of the ordinance requires repair or replacement of the system within 30 days of notice from this department. This letter serves as such notice. Further discharge of effluent must also be stopped immediately (by such methods as reducing or stopping all water use or pumping the tank as necessary) until such time as the system is corrected. Enclosed are pertinent sections of the sewage system code and a permit application packet for your information..
