Su bject: Kohl's Project - Landscapin
OPH Staff -
I have reviewed the submitted plans for the Kohl's Project (North American
Properties) and have the followin comments:
1. An inventor of existin trees on the site will be needed includin a map
showin the location of removed and preserved trees, a tabulated list of
trees with species, size (trunk diameter of all ever over 10 feet in
hei and condition, and if an of the trees will be moved to other sites
within the Cit of OPH. This information will be used to calculate the tree
replacement re Tree replacement will be calculated as outlined in
the OPH Tree Protection Ordinance 1307.
2. The landscapin plan looks g ood and most species are acceptable,
bein hard and relativel free of insect, disease and cultural problems.
The cultivars "Newport" plum and purple leaf sand cherr are short-lived in
local landscapes so I would recommend substitutin other ornamental
trees/shrubs for these plants.
3. In the Plantin Detail which accompanies the landscape plan, please
add removal of top two run of wire baskets from root ball, once tree is in
the hole and before back-fillin
