The short answer would be — no, you cannot use golf carts. Golf carts cannot be used on any of the city streets such as Norwich Parkway and the others that surround and interweave in your complex. They also cannot be used on any of the pathways / park trails as motorized vehicles are prohibited by ordinance as well from all parks and pathways. Individual personal assistance devices for those with a disability are exempt. If you have private roads, parking lots, or private pathways you can use those as you please. With that said, there is a statute that cities could adopt specific ordinance to allow golf carts on the city streets 169.045. This is not something I would support as a public safety consideration on our roads and trails in general. If there is anything else I can help with please let me know. This would entail the golf cart crossing 58th Street. I have a foggy recollection that we would risk a ticket in doing so but wanted to get clarification on the topic. Seems to me that using an assistive device such as a motorized wheelchair to cross a street is okay. Please respond to this question. Thank you!
