Kathy Scott/Dan - I have reviewed the landscape plan submitted for the old Karmann Jack's site by Tony Lodge and visited the site again 311102. 1 have the following comments: The plan submitted is not the final approved landscape plan and does not match what is existing on site. The final plan has a revision date of 519100 and I wrote a memo 5/11100 which indicates my acceptance of the revised plan. I later visited the site and inspected the installed plantings. During my visit to the site 3/1/02, 1 noticed several problems which will need to be remedied: 1. Root balls of most planted trees are exposed (no mulch or soil over burlap. Root balls need to be coverd with an inch or two of soil and 4 inches of wood chip mulch. 2. The area north of the parking lot is very weedy and this area should at least be mowed during the growing season. A better, more attractive option would be to re -seed the open areas with a turfgrass mix. 3. Any trees or shrubs which are dead by time of leaf -out in May should be replaced.
