Subject. Mandt Variance Request
When I was speaking to Scott today regarding the Mandt Variance Public
Hearing notice I had a terrible thought.
The applicant is Panelcraft, who is being contracted by the Mandt's to
construct a porch, and somehow ended up applying on their behalf for the
variance they need.
Do we have anything from Panelcraft that authorizes them to act on behalf
of the applicant? I ask because when Mr. Mandt was in last week he
insinuated that they may push the project off until the Spring and that he
wasn't too worried about the process because he had something written in
his contract about payment being delayed to Panelcraft for a period of time
after completion of the porch.
What 1 am wondering is --- if the variance is not granted and fees exceed
the amount paid by panelcraft, do we have any recourse for collection from
the property owners?
Would you touch base with me on your thoughts about this and lend me some
direction.
Thanks.
