Memorial Office Condos - Landscape Plan (rev. 6/20/06)
have reviewed the latest landscape plan (rec'd at City Hall 6/20/06) for the Memorial Office Condos project and have the
following comments:
1. The landscape plan is an improvement over the last draft, is interesting and attractive and will complement the building,
site and usage.
2. The plant species are good choices, being hardy, attractive and insect and pest resistant. The only change I might
suggest is to replace purple leaf sandcherry with a smaller shrub such as compact burning bush (Euonymus alatus
'Compacta'). Purple leaf sandcherry has an unusual color but grows to be a large, rangy shrub (6-8 feet) and is relatively
short -lived in the landscape.
3. The 'Planting Detail' looks good and should be provided to the landscape contractor who is installing the plant material.
