Box 2007 Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 We (St. Croix Tree Service, Inc.) have been contracted by Sunnyside Marina (6413 St. Croix Tr. N) to perform a highly selective vegetation removal and pruning project in the area adjacent to the North Dock (see included site map). The goal of this project is to remove dead, invasive (buckthorn and grapevine), hazardous, and diseased (elm) trees, as well as some minor pruning to clear parking spaces on the west side of the work area. This work will create a higher level of safety for users of this high traffic area and leave a healthier, more natural wooded setting. All living, native trees in good condition will be left in the area. Stumps from trees and brush removed will be left in place to eliminate potential erosion problems following our work. We have met with Katharine Widin of the City of Oak Park Heights, who has approved the work as described above as well as Molly Shodeen of the MN DNR, who has informed us that the City has jurisdiction over the permitting and ordinance enforcement as it pertains to the project in question.
