RESOLUTION AUTHoRiLINC TE li PORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON'
OXBORO AVENUE NORTH
WHEREAS, Washington County requests a temporary parking restriction on Oxboro Avenue
North along the east side from 60` Street North (North Frontage Road) north approximately
370' in the City of Oak Park Heights, Minnesota; and,
WHEREAS, this parking restriction would be installed to provide safer turning movements for
construction vehicles as apart of the 2025 County Campus Improvement project; and
WHEREAS, the Washington County Public Works Department shall be responsible for
installation and maintenance of the no parking signs in accordance with the MN MUTCD; and,
WHEREAS, the signs and any additional markings shall be removed by Washington County
Public Works Department once construction is substantially completed for the 2025 County
Campus Improvement project or as may be directed by the City; and,
WHEREAS, Minn. Statute 169.04 (1) allows the City to regulate the standing or parking of
vehicles on highways under its jurisdiction; and,
WHEREAS, Oxboro Avenue North is under the jurisdiction of the City of Oak Park Heights.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the parking of motor vehicles and construction
equipment shall be prohibited on the east side of Oxboro Avenue North from 60' Street North
approximately 370'.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of Oak park
Heights hereby authorizes the Washington County Director of the Public Works Department to
install and maintain the appropriate signs at County expense, to designate this parking
restriction, subject to the review and approval of the City Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of Oak Park
Heights hereby authorizes the Washington County Director of the Public Works Department to
remove such parking restrictions and related markings at such time when the 2025 County
Campus Improvement Project reaches substantial completion or as may be required by the City
of Oak Park Heights.
