Thank you for clarifying the location of the subject properties, as I for one, was confused. The wetland in question, as well as the wetland that might receive the water, are not state protected wetlands. Any proposal would still have to be consistent with the 1991 Wetland Conservation Act. Since no DNR permits would be required for an outlet control structure, Metro Region Waters has no further involvement. As you are aware, the overflow would impact property within the Wildlife Management Area. By copy of this letter, I will forward the information to Roger Johnson, Regional Wildlife Supervisor for further review and comment.
