RE: Overflow Water Problem
14201 53rd St, N.
Dear Mayor and City Council Members,
As you know, we have had a continuing problem of water overflow-
ing into our back yard due to the poor drainage system that was
developed as a result of the Gardner Bros, Homes development.
During this past summer, a minimal amount of landscaping (poorly
completed) was done to stop the overflow and repair some of the
damage done to our property. At that time, we did not feel that
the problem was resolved, and expressed our point of view to
Roger.
In October 1994, after a day of heavy rain, once again our back
yard, vegetable and flower gardens were flooded. Enclosed you
will find pictures of this round of flooding.
We have been extremely patient in this matter, but our patience
is running thin. It has been 4 years. We feel our property has
lost value, due to the loss of 20+ trees and the continuing water
drainage problem.
We wonder if it is time for us to contact an attorney who would
represent our best interest, since the city in which we live,
work and pay taxes has not been able to satisfy our complaint.
Sincerely,
cC Q ' 1
