Revised Gradin & Utilit Plan Review

Dear Eric:
We received revised g radin g , erosion control & utilit plans on November 26, 2003 for the
proposed Menard's Expansion from Larson En of Minnesota, and have the followin
comments/recommendations for y our consideration (previous comments still applicable are
shown in italics):
1. The proposed g radin g plan is acceptable as submitted. Other than fillin in/repairin a
minor washout, no g radin g is proposed north of the site improvements (i.e., on the existin
pond slopes).
A retainin wall is now shown in this location with a maximum hei of approximatel
5 feet. As such, desi drawin and calculations of the retainin wall, stamped b a
re en in the state of Minnesota, are re for reviewal and approval.
2. The water main la is acceptable as submitted. Verif the proposed h t and
colors with the Mr. Ja Johnson, Oak Park Hei Director ofPublic Works.
The proposed fire h shall incorporate an AFC - Waterous Storz Nozzle. The
h pumper nozzles shall be of one-piece desi compatible with a 5" Storz hose
couplin The nozzles shall be an inte part of the fire h and must be furnished
b the manufacturer or authorized distributor desi b the manufacturer. Storz
adapters will not be accepted.
I As a reminder, demolition and restoration will be takin place to the existin street, curb &
g utter and boulevard within Krue Lane ri -c wa for drivewa entrance modifications.
Additionall existin pond slopes will be disturbed as part ( the storm sewer and silt fence
installations ad to the Menard's Pond. The Cit should obtain a Letter Qf Creditftom
the ownerldevel in the amount of $5,000 ($4, 000 x 125 Yo) to cover the costs associated
with these improvements.

All other previous comments have been addressed, and we recommend approval of the g radin g ,
erosion control and utilit plans, contin upon the items noted above. If y ou have an
