Subject: Menard's Landscaping
OPH Staff -
All the spruce on the E, 5 and W sides, and the crabs in the parking lot appear to be in at the Menard's site. 1 checked
under the mulch on the new trees and the soil seems moist. The soil (and trees) are drier on the west side and they
should check that both sides of the root balls are receiving water. 1 recommend that they have someone check the
moisture (of soil, not mulch) around all the new spruce by hand at least once a week and water with a hose at the
groundline or by water truck if the soil around the root balls is not moist. These are big trees and this is a very stressful
time of year to be transplanting them. They need a lot of care, mostly in the form of water, or they will lose them.
