Subject: 1st Presbyterian Church parking lot
Scott -
Attached is the current concept plan for the parking lot resurfacing /reconstruction. Some summary points:
1. No re- grading of the majority of the site will be done — parking lot will continue to be at the existing grades and slopes
2. At this point, we hope not to replace the base (pending some investigation), so, for most of the lot, it will be removal of
the asphalt and then new asphalt placed
3. Parking isles will be realigned
4. The overall impervious coverage and number of stalls will be slightly reduced — we should still meet the city code on
minimum # of stalls (but I want to confirm that) G0,49.-A.D
5. Additional stormwater treatment and landscaping will be added to the parking lot — some additional stalls are being
added in the north to off -set interior losses of stalls
Understandings of city codes that have been used in developing this concept plan:
1. Setback = 10'
2. Parking minimums = 1 parking space for every 5 feet of pew space
3. Handicap parking = add 1 handicap space for every 25 standard spaces
am not sure I got the engineer's address correct, so if you do not mind being the point of contact, I will send this to you
and you can take it from there.
