RE: Oak Park Heights - Zoning Ordinance and Design Guidelines
Amendments to Address Development Review Process
FILE NO: 798.04
As per the direction of the City Council at their May 11, 1999 meeting, the Planning
Commission will hold a public hearing at their June 17, 1999 meeting to discuss the
development review process. The issue is related to the process now required for
Planning Commission and City Council review of all commercial and industrial projects,
even if the plans meet all City requirements. A change in the Zoning Ordinance and
Design Guidelines language would be necessary to allow projects that meet all
requirements to be approved only by staff.
The City Attorney has indicated a public hearing should be authorized by the City Council
for the upcoming Planning Commission meeting. A copy of the public hearing notice is
attached.
