King Ash Disposal Facility Street Vacation FILE NO: 798.02 - 96.08 As you are aware, the City Council at their 22 October meeting approved the request from NSP for a CUP to expand the A.S. King Ash [disposal Facility and a rezoning of a portion of the site from R -2, Low and Medium Density Residential to 1, Industrial to accommodate the proposed use. Included Within this area are streets that are included in the NSP property that Will no longer serve residential access. NSP has requested that the following streets be vacated: . All that part of 59th street North as located in the plat of oak Park and Which lies west of a line whose beginning paint commences at the southeast corner of Lot 16, Block 9 and extends southerly to its connection to the northeast corner of Lot 9, Block 8 and there terminates. 2. All that portion of 58th Street North as it exists Within the plat of oak Park and which lies West of a line whose beginning point commences at the southeast corner of Lot 1 , Block 11 and extends southerly to its connection to the northeast corner of Lot 6, Block 12 and there terminates. 3. All that portion of 5th Street as located within the plat of oak Park lying southerly of the right -of -way of 58th Street North. 5775 WAYZATA BOULEVARD, SUITE 555 ST. All that portion of 4th street as located within the plat of Oak Park lying southerly of the right -of -way of 58th street North. As indicated in the attached diagram, 59th street will terminate just west of cover Park thus insurin g access aloe the entire length of the north edge of the park. The termination g for 58th street will be west of the 4th street right- of-way to accommodate existing property access points and to provide an area for a turnaround. Our office recommends the city council vacate the roadways as described above and in the attached diagram at their 26 November 1996 meeting.
