Hi Mark:
When I met with Daryl I basically STRESSED that it was essential that the old paperwork be completed asap: both the
transfer of the easement and the original CUP /variance permit for the cooling towers. He said he would make sure these
were signed and delivered asap (as you know this is probably the 12th time I have discussed this with him). I just called
him again about it now and he said he had talked to his people and would have the documents by early next week. We
shall see...

• Subject: NSP - Former Landfill Site
• on Tuesday, March 12th, Mr. Daryl Knutson of Xcel Energy stopped
• by to discuss potential projects they are considering at the
• former landfill site, Daryl followed up with a phone call today
• and stressed that they would like to move forward on some aspects
• of the proposed project, specifically the removal of trees.
• Discussed was:
• The removal of trees near the Cover Park Manor Bed and Breakfast.
• The placement of a new storage facility (to replace what is on
• site) generally to the north of Cover Park Manor. This site
• would be accessed by the short road that leads to parking spots
• on the north side of Cover Park.
• The potential of transferring ownership of this building to the
• City for a park shelter /other facility after Xcel`s work has been
• completed on the site.
• During the conversation, I stressed that any new building must
• meet the City's Design Guidelines and that a Conditional Use
• Perm itla mend ment must be applied for.
