Box 2007 Oak Park Heights, Minnesota 55082 Re: NSP Shed/CUP Dear Ms. Danielsen: Following up on the issue of the Northern States Power, now Xcel Energy conditional use permit. The permit, as you will recall was originally issued. pursuant to planner' p s report of March 1, 2000 and the most recent amendment to the permit was initiated back in 2001 by NSP as it affected the modifications to the polebam tYPe structure in the flyash area- and related improvements in addition to the previous conditions of the permit. The modified permit was drafted by this office and submitted to your offices on March 22, 2001 P The p en rn t itself had a number of conditions that did require f utter discussions with both the City and NSP/Xcel Energy, not the least of which was the City's requirement relative to the billboard that is located upon the property that, was originally uired by the Council to be removed. By agreement between the City and Xcel required Ener + j , '} '' } r , formerly NSP, the City modified that so that the lease that secures that property and in ..7d terms of the billboard lease Nvill not be renewed at the end of its tenrn by NS P. Further, it is my understand that the corporate charge between NSP and Xcel Energy may have impacted their timeliness in re y oases to our offices and mine rel ative to calls to get the CUP processed on their end. In an y even beyond the date of service that we provided. the CUP, I do know that we had some follow u telephone conversations from this office Nvith Mr. Bruce ult of cel Energy p relative to this and other issues on that permit and l understand NSP has now signed and return ed the p y ermit for era b the City. if you require any additional info , p e feel free to contact me. Yours vet tzvly, J. Vierling MJVlsdb
