He told me that Xcel is plannin to remove trees on the entire slope west of the 58th St. cul-de-sac near Cover Park Manor. He sa that has to be done this y ear so that fillin can occur all the wa from the slope behind the townhomes east of Os to the 58th St. cul-de-sac. I g ave him a cop of the Cit Tree Protection Ordinance. I said that the ordinance re a tree inventor (at least of the area bein removed and that tree replacement would be based on diameter inches of trees removed. If Xcel wanted to offset that replacement somewhat, the could do an inventor of the other trees remainin on the entire site and use the ordinance e to calculate the adjusted tree replacement. He said he would read the ordinance, talk with people at Xcel and g et back to me. He said the active portion of the landfill is under PCA permittin and would not fall under Cit re for permits, etc., until the cells were filled and the areas closed and turned over to the Cit M q uestion to y ou is: Is it correct that the don't need an permits from the Cit to fill in the area? Am I correct in assumin that the can remove trees on the slope which are in the wa of their proposed plans for fillin the area? Does the Cit Tree Protection Ordinance appl to this situation? Thanks.
