Various Development 1 Zoning items:
FROM: Eri John on,
dministr tor
1. The City has required both GSM and the new Manley Development adjacent
to Appleby's to execute an agreement that would consent to the City's
implementation of a special assessment on their properties for a portion of
the costs associated with the burial of the distribution lines. Manley
Development contacted XceI Energy asking for a cost estimate, which Xcer
declined to provide. 1 have followed up with Xcel Energy explaining the
purpose and reasoning for the request and that the estimates sought are not
binding and only need to be a good-faith rough estimate. See my request to
John Wertish — 5/3/07.
2. Mr. Jamie Junker has purchased the property directly between the City's
new linear park trail and 58 street. This property was formerly owned by
VSSA. This property was to have the silt fencing removed several months
ago, and has yet to be completed. 1 have asked Mr. Junker to complete the
removal - see enclosed.
3. The City has sent notices to two property owners on 57 street again asking
that they please complete their home improvement projects. — see letters
from Jim Butler.
• The City has not yet received the final tonnage counts from the Spring Clean-up
held last week Saturday. Counciimember McComber who worked at the clean-up
day with Mark R. and Andy K. did provide the enclosed short memo outlining the
day's results. It was VERY busy. A thank you letter has also been sent to Pam
Patrick who also volunteered at the site. I visited the site early on Monday and the
site looks in fine shape, as the City had a street sweeper come through and do a
complete cleaning.
• The Stillwater High School will again be hosting the Drum Beauty Event on Sunday,
July 1 2007. See enclosed memo/flyer that will be distributed to the residents in
the vicinity of the High School Stadium. Additional discussions and clarifications will
need to be held w/ Mr. Eckberg to outline final times and City requirements on
parking, noise and police. They are required to be completed by 10 pm.
