RE: Curbing & Apron Damages — Snowplowing.
Dear John,
As you are aware, the City of Oak Park Heights has not accepted the roads or trails and does not provide
snow removal service until these are complete and conveyed to the City in an acceptable condition. CSM
will :need to arrange for snow removal until such time as the City does accepts these roads and other items
as the City will not be party to any claims.
To date, there has been a significant amount of curb damage; on Nova Scotia, both before and after the
construction of the bituminous base and binder course. Over 200' of curb was initially damaged prior to the
construction of the bituminous base course by the various 'contactors at the site Since the completion` of. the
binder course, More damage has been noticed.
•
: Also, many of the commercial concrete aprons on Nova Scotia have already been damaged. Cracks and
chips can be seen on almost every one of the .aprons. This ..damage has been documented as well and
pictures 'taken. Additionally, Norwich had no curb damage following the completion of the bituminous
base course. However as of today we notice only a small amount of damage.
At this point, if you wish the. City to provide snow plowing for Nova Scotia, Norwich and the trails, please
immediately convey a letter, i n 1 original - farm.; to my attention requesting such action by the City, but with a
proper, acknowledgement that you will`be , remaining responsible for any curbing and apron damages:` As to
the other damages that have already occurred, the. City will evaluate these situations in the spring and will
issue corrective notices if any
Until the City receives this request' and acknowledgement from you, these roads will remain unplowed and
un ► ced b f- 'ty -. Another alternative is to close these roads.
