Dear Mr. Wilson & Ms. Schwartz:
In response to a complaint on the condition of the residence referenced above, I conducted a
site investigation and found the following violations to the City's Zoning Ordinance:
Ord. 1109.03 H - -- All noxious weeds shall not exceed a height more than (6) inches is in
violation to the Code. The grasses on your property are greater than (12) inches in height and
are required to be cut to a length in compliance with the ordinance and shall be maintained as
such.
Ord. 1303.03.6 - -- Private Swimming Pool Section requires all fence doors or gates to be self
locking. I have secured these gates with a lock and they shall remain locked until the water
within the pool has been drained, inspected by me, and approval is granted that the condition
is safe for the public.
Ord. 1303.07 - -- Polluted Water - -- States that no body of water, whether it be a natural or an
artificial body of water in the City, which contains sewage, waste, or other contaminating or
polluting ingredients rendering the water hazardous to health, is prohibited and considered a
health hazard to the public. You are required to drain this pool and sanitize the structure for
the safety of the public.
Ord. 1109.03 I - -- An accumulation of debris of any nature or description is in violation to the
Code. All of the following items, and not limited to the following items, must be stored within .
the garage / accessory building or shall be removed from the site.
1) The step ladder, extension cord, and wood pile scattered on the west driveway.
2) All yard waste such as sticks scattered throughout the yard.
3) Miscellaneous debris in the southeast corner of the rear yard.
Tree City U.S.A.
Ord. 401.15.C.8.a2 - -- Covers the maintenance of the structure. Damaged siding needs to be
repaired and sealed with paint as needed.
You are required to address all of the issues above to comply with the requirements of the
City's Zoning Ordinance within ten (10) days of the date of this letter. If at that time the
nuisance is not abated, the City will enter the property, abate the nuisance, and continue to
care for the property so that the condition will not re -occur within 160 days, for which you will
be responsible for all associated costs.
The City shall assess the property for staff, contractor, administration time, and all materials
used to abate the nuisance.
Sincerely,
•
