Dear Jim,
1 need a letter from you regarding the unacceptable work done by
Cool Air Mechanical Inc.
First , There was no permit applied for so the work was halted.
Secondly, the work that was completed was unacceptable to yourself and had
to be completely redone.
Cool Air Mechanical is trying to charge me for all work done including
work that had to be replaced.
I'm hoping you can help me with a letter addressing these issues.

OCTOBER 3, 1997
TO: MR. JON NELSON,
REGARDING THE INSTALLATION OF YOUR FURNACE AT A -1 MAINTENANCE,
LOCATED AT 5845 STAGECOACH TRAIL NORTH. I FOUND THE FOLLOWING CODE
VIOLATIONS DURING MY INSPECTION FOR A GAS LINE PRESSURE TEST.
FIRST: THERE WAS NO PERMIT ISSUED FOR THE PROJECT AT THE TIME OF MY
INSPECTION.
SECOND: THE GAS LINE INSTALLED OUTSIDE THE BUILDING WAS NOT PROPERLY
SECURED TO THE WALL AND WAS LOCATED IN A AREA IN WHICH THERE WAS A
GOOD POSSIBILITY THAT IT COULD BE DAMAGED BY SOMEONE PARKING THEIR
VEHICLE AND NEEDED TO BE REROUTED.
THIRD: THE GAS PRESSURE TEST WAS PUT ON WITH THE MAXITROL REGULATOR
INSTALLED. THIS COULD DAMAGED THE DIAPHAM OF THE REGULATOR, WHICH
MEANT THAT THE REGULATOR HAD TO BE REPLACE.
FOURTH: THE FURNACE WAS NOT VENTED TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING. A
FLUE HAD TO BE INSTALLED.
FIFTH: THERE WAS NO COMBUSTION AIR SUPPLY TO THE FURNACE.
SIXTH: THE SHUT OFF VALVE WAS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE BUILDING AND NOT
WITHIN 3 FEET OF THE APPLIANCE.
SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS REGARDING THE VIOLATIONS OF
THIS INSTALLATION YOU MAY CALL ME AT CITY HALL.
