The following is an itemization of time expended on matters relevant to A -1 Maintenance. The hourly rate
established by the Uniform Building Code, for these services is $42.00 per hour.

1/3 Prepare memo to Judy Hoist regarding violations of Conditional Use Permit .5
2/13 Prepare letter to Mr. Nelson regarding termination of Conditional Use Permit .5
5/10 Met with John Nelson at A -1 Maintenance to inform him of items to be presented
to City Council.

6/16 Mr. Nelson, City Engineer, Karen Shimon, and myself were to meet to discuss
drainage issues. Mr. Nelson did not show up. .5

7/10 Ordinance and requirements faxed to Mr. Nelson; search and copying of
materials

8/21 Meeting with City Administrator Melena, Mr. Carlson and Mr. Nelson at A -1
Maintenance to discuss conditions of the Conditional Use Permit 1.0
8/26 Prepare letter to Mr. Carlson regarding violations at A -1 Maintenance. 2.0
9/3 Site investigation with Public Works Director, Jay Johnson. 1.0
10/16 Meeting with Mr. Nelson at A -1 Maintenance, per his request, to discuss
conditions of fence. .5
10/22 Prepare memo to City Administrator Melena regarding time expended on
A -1 Maintenance project 2.0
Total Time Expended to Date: 23.5
The above - referenced time expended on this project is considerable less that than actually expended. The
itemization does not include time expended for review or the many letters and faxes from Mr. Nelson, Mr.
Carlson and Mr. Snyder. Nor does it include numerous office visits, telephone conversations with Mr. Nelson.
• - Taking the above into consideration, 23.5 hours have been expended. Calculated at the rate of $42.00 per
hour, as approved in the fee schedule of the Uniform Building Code, the fee for expended hours is $987.00,
plus one hour, for a total of $1,029.00.

COMMENTS:
re: A -1 maintenance // Tom, I undrestand that there is a question on
whether we need to put A -i through a public hearing process before
we reinstate. By my analysis the council is free to reinstate based
on staff recommendation and no public hearing is required.
