Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 Re: Vehicle Parking and House Numbers Dear Mr. Johnston, Recently a vehicle was observed parked on the grass at the east side of your home. Please be advised that City Ordinance 401.15.F. regulates off - street parking and loading and requires that passenger vehicles be parked upon a defined driveway or within a garage or carport. City Ordinance 401.15.B. directs that inoperable and /or unlicensed vehicles shall not be parked or stored outside for a period in excess of 30 days. Also, your home was noted to be without having house numbers installed. House numbers are critical for emergency response organizations such as the Police Department, Fire Department and Medical Response teams to assist you, and they are required by Oak Park Heights City Ordinance 701.02.D. House numbers shall be installed per the criteria established in sections 701.02 D and C., specifically the numbers shall be: 1. Visible from the street on which the property is located; 2. Affixed to the building or a sign post (not a mailbox); 3. A minimum of three (3) inches in height; 4. Made of a durable, weather resistant material such as metal, glass, plastic, etc.; and 5. Are of a color that is contrasting to the base color of your home or sign post. With this letter you are hereby requested to remove the vehicle from your side yard and to install house numbers at your home at your first opportunity, but no later than August 15, 2011.
